Detailed Itinerary - Nuremberg to Vienna
Day 1
NUREMBERG
Transfer from the airport to the ships’ pier. Embarkation on the MS AMADEUS PRINCESS starts at 3 p.m. A welcome cocktail will be served in the Panorama Bar followed by a special welcome dinner. Vessel overnights in Nuremberg.
Day 2
NUREMBERG
Nuremberg is a city with a long and varied history and in the morning the city tour will give you a good impression of its cultural and historic significance. In addition, you will visit Germany's largest and most well known Christmas market in the old quarter of Nuremberg. The ship is due to depart at 12:00 p.m.
Day 3
REGENSBURG
MS AMADEUS PRINCESS ties up in Regensburg at 8:00 a.m. You will get to know this beautiful city during the guided walking tour of Regensburg. After lunch, a coach will bring you to the atmospheric Christmas market. The ship leaves Regensburg at 10:00 p.m. and heads towards Passau.
Day 4
PASSAU
After a scrumptious breakfast onboard, enjoy a city walk around Passau with a visit to the Christmas market. You will visit the old quarter, and be impressed by the beautiful St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which has the world’s largest organ (17,974 pipes and 233 stops). In addition the tour stops at the new Archbishop’s residence and the town hall. Return to the ship, which is due to depart at 4 p.m. for Emmersdorf.
Day 5
EMMERSDORF, WEISSENKIRCHEN, VIENNA
MS AMADEUS PRINCESS is expected to reach Emmersdorf at 7:00 a.m. The Beauties of the Wachau excursion will consist of a walking tour of the town of Duernstein, the famous Benedictine Abbey of Melk, and concludes with a Gluehwein Party. You will meet up with the ship in Weissenkirchen, where the ship heads to Vienna. Arrival in Vienna is expected to be at 5:00 p.m., where you can visit the Christmas Market near Vienna’s city hall.
Day 6
VIENNA
Discover incredible Vienna on the guided tour, or explore it on your own. Your last excursion will bring you to Schoenbrunn Castle, which includes a performance at the Marionette Theater and a visit to the Christmas market there. On the final evening of your trip the captain of the MS AMADEUS PRINCESS invites you to a special gala dinner. After dinner, enjoy a concert onboard in the Panorama Bar, and dance the night away late into the evening.
Day 7
VIENNA
Disembark by 9:00 a.m. Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or extend your stay.
The Amadeus Princess celebrates her inaugural year in 2006, and was designed specifically for cruising the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers. The open Sun Deck offers options such as a walking track, Lido bar, and a small pool. For passengers who find time for a little pampering and fitness, the ship features a salon, massage facilities, and a small gym. All cabins contain floor-to-ceiling windows and two twin beds that can easily be converted to one queen.

Day 1, December 23, 2008
VIENNA
Embarkation for the MS AMADEUS PRINCESS begins in Vienna at 4:00PM. Once you have become familiar with the layout of your floating hotel, our cruise manager invites you to have a cocktail prior to the welcome dinner. After dinner enjoy a Christmas concert in the panorama bar. The vessel is scheduled to depart at 11:00 p.m.
Day 2, December 24, 2008
DUERNSTEIN
This morning the ship reaches Duernstein, one of the famous villages of the scenic Wachau area. The Beauties of the Wachau excursion includes a city walk of Duernstein, followed by a stop in Melk, where you will tour its magnificent Benedictine Abbey, one of Europe's largest monasteries. Afterwards, return to Weissenkirchen where you are invited to a "Gluehwein-Party" in the well-known Teisenhofer Hof. After enjoying an outstanding Christmas dinner, you may attend the Christmas Mass at the Cathedral of Duernstein.
Day 3, December 25, 2008
PASSAU
The ship reaches Bavaria's well known city of Passau, which is at the confluence of three rivers (Donau, Inn and Ilz) this afternoon. There will be a guided city walk that will familiarize you with the sights of this lovely small city. The MS AMADEUS PRINCESS will depart from Passau at 5:30 p.m.
Day 4, December 26, 2008
REGENSBURG
We reach Regensburg, our next destination, at 9 a.m. This city, which enchants all of its visitors with almost 1,400 historic buildings, is one of Germany's best preserved medieval cities. Absorb the most important sights of Regensburg during the guided city tour. The ship departs the city at 6:00 p.m., when all of its beautiful buildings will be illuminated, as the cruise continues towards Nuremberg via the Main/Danube-Canal.

NUREMBERG
The MS AMADEUS PRINCESS docks in Nuremberg around 1:00 p.m. Nuremberg is a city with a long history, and the afternoon city tour will provide you with a good impression of its cultural and historic significance. On the final evening of your trip the captain invites you to a special gala dinner. Dance the night away to the live music in the Panorama Bar, performed by the musicians which have been entertaining you throughout the cruise.
